The Central Coast’s median house price of $570,000 helps explain why the region had the fourth largest population grown across NSW last year. Gosford has a time on market now that’s down to just 11 days on average, as developers and investors are making the move north as well.

In another effort to help ease Sydney’s housing affordability crisis, Planning Minister Rob Stokes has called on builders, developers and councils to get a move on and create thousands of more new homes across the Central Coast.

To Commute Or Not To Commute? That Is The Question For Many Sydneysiders.

It was recently revealed that almost a third of Sydneysiders travel for more than 90 minutes in and out to work each day. The Central Coast does offer a more relaxed lifestyle and is more affordable so many buyers are prepared to trade off a longer commute for lifestyle and affordability.

To supply the growing Sydney expat population, towns like Gosford are unveiling more upmarket coffee shops, cafes and Sydney styled experiences to service the expanding local demand. So it’s not just people moving north, businesses are making the move north as well because the cost of doing business on the Central Coast is also lower.

Continual improvements in technology and video conferencing is making it more possible than ever before to work more from home, and with some employers allowing more flexibility this trend along with sustained high prices in Sydney is set to continue to fuel demand for Central Coast property.
